The Nation buys propane in bulk and delivers to households at cost plus delivery. That is normally well under the retail rate off the reservation.
Energy assistance applications open October 1 and the allocation is fixed. Come early: it does run out, and there is no waiting list once it does.
Nobody’s heat gets shut off in winter. If you are out of propane and cannot pay, call this number. The emergency fund exists for exactly that and you can settle up later.
