For anyone thinking about applying to the October intake. Current apprentices and both directors will be there to answer questions.

No sign up needed. Applications will be available on the night and staff can help fill them in.

Public bid opening, Bench Road resurfacing

Sealed bids for IFB 2026-016 are opened in public. Any member may attend and hear the numbers read.

Bid openings are public under the Nation’s procurement ordinance. Bids are read aloud as they are opened and the tabulation is posted the same day.

Elders lunch and benefits clinic

Monthly lunch, with staff from Social Services on hand for benefits questions and Medicare paperwork.

Transport is available from Alkali Draw, North Bench and Sand Bench. Call Elders Services at 555-0133 by the Monday before.

Enterprise Board quarterly session

The Board reviews the quarterly figures from all seven enterprises. Open to members, with an executive session for personnel matters only.

The open portion covers the financial report and the apprenticeship intake. Members may observe but the Board does not take public comment at quarterly sessions.

Grand entry 6:00pm Friday

The 47th Dry Fork Powwow and Fair

Three days. Grand entry Friday evening, dance and drum contests through Sunday, and the fair, rodeo and food row running alongside all weekend.

Camping is free for dancers, drums and their families. Register at the fair office from Thursday noon.

The fair building takes exhibit entries until Wednesday September 16: garden, livestock, baking, quilting and youth categories. Entry forms are at the Administration Building.

Parking is at the north lot with a shuttle running to the arbor. Elders and anyone with a disability placard can be dropped at the arbor gate.

Annual range report, open meeting

Land and Resources presents range condition monitoring and next season's stocking rates. Permit holders are asked to attend.

The draft report is available at the Administration Building two weeks beforehand. Permit holders who cannot attend can send written comment to the department.
