The staple basket at Bench Road Fuel and Market has been repriced for the quarter. Thirty items are held at cost under the 2024 Council directive.
Nine items changed price. Seven went down, mostly dry goods. Milk and eggs went up, which the manager attributed to the supplier rather than to anything the market can control.
The current list is posted at the register and at the door. Priscilla Hobbs, who manages the store, said members should tell staff if something in the basket is regularly out of stock, because the reorder points are set by hand and get missed.
