Council minutes are now posted within ten days
An ordinance sponsored by Secretary Whitfield requires Council minutes on this website within ten days of every meeting. The first set under the new rule went up Monday.
Council minutes must now be published on this website within ten days of every meeting, under an ordinance sponsored by Secretary Junie Whitfield and passed in June.
Before the ordinance, minutes were approved at the following meeting and then filed in a binder at the front office. In practice that meant a member who wanted to know what Council did in January could be waiting until March, and then had to drive to Dry Fork to read it.
The first set under the new rule went up Monday. Minutes back to January 2024 have also been posted, and the Secretary’s office is working backwards through the archive as time allows.
Minutes are under Documents. Draft minutes are marked as drafts until Council approves them.
