Fourteen seasonal posts open for the powwow and fair

Grounds crew, parking and the fair office. Sixteen and over, no experience needed for most of it, and hiring is rolling rather than after a closing date.

The Nation is taking on fourteen seasonal workers for the 47th Dry Fork Powwow and Fair, running September 19 to 21.

Eight of the posts are grounds crew, four are parking and shuttle, and two are in the fair office. Work starts September 7 with setup and finishes September 25 after teardown.

Pay is $19.75 an hour with a $2 night differential. For grounds and parking the only requirement is being 16 or over. Under 18 needs a parent or guardian signature and cannot take the night shift.

Georgia Pell in Human Resources said hiring is rolling this year rather than waiting on a closing date, because last year the office held every application until the deadline and then had ten days to fill twelve posts.

Applications are at Human Resources, and from Thursday at the fair office.
