Enterprise report for the third quarter is posted
All seven enterprises returned a combined net of $1.94 million for the quarter. High Desert Solar posted its first profitable quarter.
Treasurer Arlen Maddox presented the third quarter enterprise report to Council on Tuesday. The seven chartered enterprises returned a combined net of $1.94 million, up from $1.71 million in the same quarter last year.
High Desert Solar posted its first profitable quarter since it was chartered in 2021, clearing $84,000. The residential installation side is still running at a loss by design, subsidised from the generating side.
Sand Bench Cattle Company was down against last year on lower calf prices. The Land and Resources Department has recommended holding stocking rates flat for another season regardless.
